Oliver Westmacott is the President & COO for GardaWorld International Protective Services, a position he was appointed to in July 2010.

In 2003, he established the Iraq office for Vance International, which was subsequently acquired by GardaWorld in 2006.

Over the following two years, he grew the operation to become the largest private security provider in Northern Iraq, pioneering an international, predominantly local national, security model in the Kurdish North. Under his direction, GardaWorld became the region’s market leader in low-profile mobile and large-scale remote site security primarily to the telecommunications and oil & gas industries.

Before joining GardaWorld, he spent three years working in the venture capital industry in London, focused on early-stage UK investments in a variety of sectors.

Oliver was born in Iran, and has spent much of his life living in the Middle East, Europe and the US. He is a graduate of Warwick University with a degree in Politics and French.

Daniel Ménard is the Senior Vice President Operations for GardaWorld International Protective Services.

He oversees the company’s commercial, operations and projects throughout the MENA region and Afghanistan. Daniel has over 26 years’ experience in the Canadian Armed Forces, becoming one of the country’s youngest Brigadier Generals and managing a military campaign in Afghanistan. He received numerous commendations including the highest commendation of the Canadian Army in 2007, the Chief of Land Staff Commendation and of the Canadian Forces, the Chief of Defense Commendation, as well as receiving the Commander’s Commendation from the 1st Serbian Corps Commander, which has only been awarded to two Canadians. He holds a Master of Public Administration – International Management from the University of Quebec as well as being a Graduate of the Canadian Forces College (1999), and the Land Force Command and Staff College (1992). 

Daniel Ménard is the Senior Vice President Operations for GardaWorld International Protective Services.

Pete Dordal Jr, is Senior Vice President for GardaWorld International Protective Services.

He joined GardaWorld in 2008 after serving as 

a consultant to the business for two years. He is responsible for the firm’s global 

strategic and business development. 

Prior to GardaWorld, Pete worked with Tryon Advisors, a boutique firm he started in 2004 that provided specialized business and security consulting to corporate clients, the US government, and security business owners. He was previously President of SPX Security & Investigations, a unit of SPX Corporation based in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he also served as the Director of Corporate Security, a dual role that oversaw the security of 24,000 SPX employees operating in 23 countries. Pete’s professional career began in 1981 when he enlisted in the US Marine Corps, serving eight years in special operations. He served in Beirut, Lebanon with the 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion from 1982-83. He has a Master’s degree in Business

Administration (MBA) from the McColl Graduate School of Business and a degree in Security Administration. Pete sits on the Board of Directors of Nevins, Inc., a 

Charlotte-based non-profit organization. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Executive Security International, Ltd., one of the oldest security training academies in the US. In 2011 Mr. Dordal was appointed to the Board of 

Directors of the International Stability Operations Association (ISOA) and now serves as Chairman of the Board.

Alain Giguere is Vice President, Finance and Administration for GardaWorld International Protective Services.

A large part of his role includes liaison with all GardaWorld operating units to support contract mobilizations by identifying all costs and CAPEX requirements. 

As part of the corporate management team based in Dubai, Alain is leading the centralization of the accounting and finance functions into our Middle East Headquarters. He is responsible, with his team, for accounting and financial direction, financial reporting, budget planning and financing activities. 

Alain is a Canadian Chartered Accountant with a Master’s degree in Information Technology. 

Alain joined the company in February 2011 

from the National Bank of Canada based in Montreal. In the past Alain has lived in Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco working for start-up businesses in the telecommunications industry.

​James Grimshaw is Vice President, Commercial Support for GardaWorld International Protective Services.

He joined GardaWorld in 2004 as operations manager for Vance’s Kurdistan business, before taking on a commercial role to support the growth of the Kurdistan business and to develop new markets. James then went on to develop and significantly grow our operations in Basra.  Given his extensive experience of operating in high risk and emerging markets in his current role James is a valuable link between the corporate functions of commercial support and operations. Before joining GardaWorld, James served as Deputy Director of a UK based not for profit organization, managing a number of projects related to post conflict reconstruction. He also managed internal security training for a leading Middle Eastern nation and was commissioned into the British Army in December 1995. James holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Nottingham Business School, where he graduated with honors.

Andy Edwards is Vice President, Strategic Clients for GardaWorld International Protective Services.

Before joining GardaWorld, Andy was the Global Operations Director for Peak Group Incorporated and presided over the company’s operations until 2008, when he completed the purchase of Peak. Shortly after completing the purchase, he changed the name of the company to Consilium Risk Strategies (CRS). GardaWorld acquired CRS in August 2012 and he was retained as Managing Director Iraq. After leaving the British Special Forces in 2001, Andy worked as a security consultant to a number of blue-chip companies, news networks and international development agencies around the world, including the World Bank Group, USAID, CBS news and the BBC. In 2003, he was appointed as Security Director for Orascom Telecom Iraq (Iraqna) and in this capacity managed the security operations for the rollout of the country’s first GSM mobile phone network.  During his time with Orascom, Andy and his team recruited, trained and managed a workforce of over 2,000 security personnel.

Graham Binns CBE DSO MC is Senior Managing Director Strategy and Sales, UK for GardaWorld International Protective Services.

Graham was previously Chief Executive Officer at Aegis Defence Services Limited, a position he assumed in June 2010. He served for 35 years in the British Army and his last appointment was as the Commandant of the Joint Services’ Command and Staff College. In 2011 he was appointed to the honorary position of Colonel of the Regiment of The Yorkshire Regiment.

Graham Binns CBE DSO MC is Senior Managing Director Strategy and Sales, UK for GardaWorld International Protective Services.

Before joining GardaWorld, he was the Managing Partner for the Millbrook Partnership, a consultancy firm that advises clients on intelligence, strategy and communication. He was engaged as a crisis negotiator working with the insurance industry and the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office. He began his military service in 1975, when he joined the Green Howards, a British infantry regiment. During his 32-year career in the Army he served all over the world. He has served with UK Special Forces for a total of seven years, specializing in counter terrorism with a focus on intelligence and surveillance. His last operational post was as the Deputy Commanding General of the Multi-National Corps in Iraq. He was appointed a Member of the Most Honourable Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 1981 and promoted to Commander (CBE) in 2003. He was awarded a Queen’s Commendation for Valuable Service (QCVS) in 1995 for operational service. He was appointed an Officer Grade of the United States of America Legion of Merit in 2005 for his work in Iraq. He holds eight other medals or decorations. A graduate of Sheffield University, the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, the Army Staff College and an alumnus of Manchester University Business School, Major General Farquhar (CBE DL B.Eng FCMI) is also a Deputy Lieutenant for Staffordshire.

Sylvia is responsible for all aspects of legal and regulatory compliance at GardaWorld International Protective Services, including commercial contractual matters. She is also actively involved in the Security in Complex Environments Group, and the International Code of Conduct process. Sylvia is a qualified lawyer with more than 15 years post qualification experience.

Sylvia White is General Counsel for GardaWorld International Protective Services.

Eric manages our continental Europe contracts and our Brussels office. He travels frequently to our Brussels office, Paris and other markets of operation. Eric joins us from Air Liquide, previously Total, where he held the position of Zone Security Officer for Africa, Middle-East & India. His experience includes running security contracts in Africa and Europe and over 17 years military experience gained with the MoD in France. Eric speaks five languages including French, English, Serbian, Spanish and Arabic.

Nick Arnold is Managing Director East Africa, for GardaWorld International Protective Services.

Nick has considerable Africa and wider Emerging Markets operations experience and joined GardaWorld in 2016 to lead our development in East Africa. Being from Zimbabwe originally, he served in the Royal Marines for nine years on operations across the globe. Nick then spent 10 years up to 2012 as the Managing Director of Global Integrated Security based out of Dubai, a $250m security and logistics business with operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and across the region. More recently Nick has been leading the East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania and Ethiopia) division of Atlas Development and Support Services, a UK AIM-listed turn-key remote support services company, through a significant and challenging re-structuring. Nick has extensive knowledge of operating in Africa, managing large numbers of people and projects in challenging environments, with a real focus on operational business performance improvement and business development.

Caroline is Director, Marketing for GardaWorld International Protective Services.

Caroline joined GardaWorld in April 2011 with a wealth of experience, most recently in a senior marketing role at AECOM in the UAE where she was responsible for regional marketing and communications initiatives. As a member of the corporate management team based in the Dubai Headquarters Caroline is responsible for all marketing and communications strategy, branding and brand management, planning and execution for the GardaWorld business. Caroline has previously worked for a number of global firms, specifically the British engineering firms of Atkins and Arup, and at the start of her career at Ford Motor Company. Caroline is a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing and holds a BA degree in Marketing with honors.
